Johns was *not* indicted, however, Jefferson *was* indicted. JJ's is back in the DA's lap.

a very good team just got better !

I know many of you might have a little hate for JJ but I am very glad he is back on the team and he with Johns can enjoy this ride with team mates

JJ's was reduced to a misdemeanor, not sure how that will play with Miles.

Players are saying he's back and JJ's attorney said CLM reinstated him.

How do you know they are back on the team? Link?

CLM has the final say in that and he might not sweep this whole thing under the rug.

A grand jury has indicted LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson on simple battery charges, a misdemeanor

I was told if it was reduced to a misdemeanor he will be back on the team

We all figured you'd be the first to start a thread about this.. ;)

I posted this in the other thread...

That's still entirely up to CLM. I'm sure "simple battery" still constitutes as a violation of team rules.

For the record, I expect Miles to reinstate him as soon as he's done with everything...but it's still Miles' decision when. Felony or simple battery...Miles has suspended/kicked off players for fighting in the past. Remember that TE, Anderson? He was involved in a fight outside a bar in which he "took it to" another individual. There was no arrests when he was shown the door.

Again, I don't expect Miles to keep him off the team when he's done with his issues, but don't be so quick to think he's automatically rolling from the courthouse to the locker room just because his charge was reduced to simple battery.

JJ could still serve up to 6 months in jail. Its a little early to put him back in the starting line-up.

<--- waiting with baited breath for The Les Miles radio show to start.
If you don't have GeauxZone you can listen to it on lsu sports radio affiliate stations ;)

ETA: There is also LSU student code. Not sure if they bother with misdemeanor's though.
