LSU's Jordan Jefferson impressing at Manning Academy | NOLA.com

Nice sentiments and good comparisons, just a shame games aren't played against air.

His physical football skills have never been the problem.

i don't know if this is some sort of massive conspiracy or what, but JJ has been getting praised by several people for his performance at the Manning passing academy. last year, i read everything i could on the performances at the Manning passing academy, and while i remember people like Andrew Luck and the Simms kid at Tennessee getting a lot of praise, i don't remember reading anything good about JJ's performance there last year

    Chris Mortensen of ESPN:

Charles Davis of NFL on Fox:

keep in mind that other QBs JJ is competing with at the Manning passing academy this year include AJ McCarron of Alabama, Tyler Wilson of Arkansas, John Brantley of Florida, Kellen Moore of Boise State, Ryan Tannehill of Texas A&M, Brandon Weedon of Okla State, Denard Robinson of Michigan, EJ Manuel of Florida State, Jacory Harris of Miami, Nick Foles of Arizona, Kirk Cousins of Michigan State, Morgan Newton of Kentucky, Bryn Renner of UNC, Matt Simms of Tennessee, Tino Sunseri of Pitt, etc

I absolutely love to hear it but it's the pressure of a game and quick thinking that have been Jefferson's problem.

I want to see the kid hoist the crystal but I'd be lying if I said I had any faith. I hope he proves all us doubters wrong.

    Maybe it was Crowton?

Krag has been working very hard with all the QBs to get the fundamentals down which wasn't something Crowton put huge emphasis on. I heard his footwork was like night and day compared to last year. We know he can throw the ball and hopefully Krag has ironed out the details to get him to the consistency he and LSU need.

Why would any coach want to teach fundamentals to freshmen QBs when we've got wacky gimmick formations? :dis:

All I hope for is that Krag managed to get something to stick in JJ's head, b/c we're going to be seeing a lot of him, for better or worse.

A lot of fans are unbelievably dfown on JJ. The kid can play. Crowton was the problem.
