For all of you bitchibg about taxes going up, realize that a sales tax is a regressive tax which means it will effect lower income folks more than upper income folks. Also, its worth noting that sulphur, lake Charles, and a few other cities in the state will have the highest sales tax in the country at 10.75% when this passes.
