I had to laugh when the announcers kept complimenting Chavis especially on the 2 pt conversion when Chavis's defense had been shreaded the entire night and the Dale Brown 4 corners prevent defense bit us again.

However, I would suggest that Miles swallow his massive ego for just a sec and ask Chavis how he would attack a defense and I would think that Chavis wouldn't recommend a cross field low percentage pass with our running attack.

Chavis was playing from behind most of the game thanks to Miles inept play calling or if Mett was audibling - not sure what was going on last night.

Give credit to Clemson. IF you think they suck, you are ignorant.

    They have a powerful O.

We held them to 25 points on 100 damned plays.

We also have tremendous youth. D will be top 10 AGAIN next year.

no, I know they are good and our defense was on the field way too much. However, the game was meaningless and we weren't playing with any LSU fire.

I just wish that Miles and the OC would pick the brain of Chavis and see what he would advise or bring another defensive mindset to the team to think like a defensive person and find the weaknesses.

I dont like the prevent D we were in. It was similar to the cushions against Bama. That said, Boyd did make some excpetional plays. He made plays that Montana, Manning, Brady, etc would have been proud to make. Those were rare throws. I dont care how good you call a game on D or how great your players are, when your O is that damn pathetic then you will allow points and stats. Overall the D played their asses off. The loss is soley on Miles and Stud.

No kidding. He made some throws into perfect coverage where you had a 12 inch gap to get the ball to the receiver. He got the ball there with a lot of zip. Reminded me of a QB that used to play for the Broncos.

to boot, boyd kept making plays even though he got rocked many times. he showed guts.
omg though, i can't get over that we had sooooo many 3-n-outs and they had 100 offensive plays. that's crazy, and amazing they didn't have 50 points!

Props to that QB, he played a helluva game. I could not belive he was able to complete that 4th and 16... Perfect throw with three defenders closing in on the WR.

Last night was an encapsulation of the suckiest parts of this season. The offense was again inept, and the defense was gassed by the 4th quarter and couldn't stop Clemson at all by that time.

In the off season, we have many things to work on. Our defense needs to get its head out of its ass, and I really think it's time for Miles to bring in a different offensive coordinator. We were the kings of 3 and outs and poor redzone efficiency. That must change in '13.
