I may have missed it, but I haven't seen any details about his injury. Anybody got anything? BHelm? I know it was a knee injury that was going to require surgery. Is he done for the year?

He has had or will soon have surgery and will likely miss the season, could possibly return late but at that point he would not be in game shape, etc. Probably in line for a medical red shirt, and if so, watch out for the Oline in 2012 -Hurst, Lonergan, Faulk, Collins, Josh D. all with significant game experience or in Collins case significant potential to dominate whenever he gets on the field.

Looks like our O-line is going to be fine without him (obviously we're not as deep so injuries are more of a concern), so there definitely is a silver lining to all of this if he can come back next season.

Yeah, I would hate it for him to end his college career this way, so good for him if he can get a medical hardship and come back.

Yea he could be ready for this season but it would be really late. Probably too long to jump into the rotation. Going to be hard to get him a 6th year as well given he was redshirted already and it wasn't due to injury. NCAA seems to be getting tougher and tougher on handing out extra years.

Ever since Jason White got, what? seems like 12 medical redshirt seasons!

The person I see this helped the most is T- Bob hebert. He wasn't starting and now he is. If he is to make it to the NFL like his dad, he has to get to it now. I don't see him being drafted. I hope he does well and does earn a spot on a pro team. Atleast on a practice squad.
