Genius to leave a QB who doesn't know the playbook and singlehandledly lose two games for us this year.

Let's get a JUCO punter while we are out shopping too.

I heard RP is on the LSU campus right now and is going to start Saturday. Trust me #11 will be on the field.

It's too late in the year to get in on a top JUCO quarterback. If Les had dropped Perrilloux before spring practice and gone hard after a Junior College QB, it might have happened. But it won't now. All our eggs are in the Lee/Hatch basket for now. And Lee will get better . . . but it won't help us this year. Next Sheppard is in the mix. We could end up with a first-year starter three years in a row.

    That ain't good, fellers..

    Courtesy of Ryan Perilloux !

(Honestly, I hope that kid gets his act together but his lack of self-control, as Red pointed out, will probably hurt us at least this year and next)

There you go, Les has us covered in the JUCO circuit. I want to see some hang time and nets in the 40's! Of course, I don't expect us to have to punt much next year. And no, not because of INTs.

Actually he has a point on this one. Lee's biggest problem is his brain. Most JUCO guy's did fail to qualify for D-1. It's not so easy for a supposedly smart kid to pick up the offense so quick, it might be even tougher for someone not as smart. JUCO is usually not the place you pick up a QB for a D-1 team.

I couldn't tell if it was a sweeping generalization of those who go to juco's or a reference to juco QBs.

It's not always a qualifying thing. It can be a money thing. I'm poor and had to work for a year before I had enough money just to go to a juco. Now, I can barely afford Southeastern. :hihi:

Speaking of which, I think their QB is pretty good.
