I wouldn't want to play Kansas. They will come in as an underdog with nothing to lose and spread the field out really well. Of course as long as we make it to the ship I could care less who we play.
Okay, let me qualify my statement. At THIS point in the year, we are incapable of dominating a decent team. I defy a single fan to say that LSU is a scary team.
Kansas is #1 because LSU couldn't dominate a team that would beat Kansas? :insane: People need to stop sniffing the glue and take a look at Kansas' schedule. Kansas barely (and I mean barely) defeated Colorado (19-14) and Tx A&M (19-11). They have one victory over a top 25 team (KSU who was #24) and have yet to face a top 50 defense all year.
We're playing well below our capabilities i'll agree, however ask fans from Florida, Bama, Auburn, or VT if we're a scary team. We turn it on when we need to which is going to send us all to an early grave, but at least the capability is there.
Yes, early grave. And with no pass rush, no Dorsey, no Holliday, and a Flynn who can't get protection half the time and can't see wide open recievers the other half, LSU cannot be the favorite to win it all.
That helps to explain why you're not a voter. #1 teams don't have to dominate anyone. They have to beat everyone. And Ole Miss AT Ole Miss is not the pushover game some folks seem to think they are -- especially when properly motivated. Bingo. I've got nothing against Kansas (I like Mangino a lot, in fact) but the fact of the matter is they have just haven't beaten anybody of note yet. If they do, then by all means put 'em #1.
This is america and you can believe whatever you like but I guarantee you that Kansas would beat Ole Miss by 40 and call off the dogs late in the 3rd. Im not trying to knock you down but be for real. Ole Miss should not have played these tigers this close. There is a problem and I cant put my finger on it. The only thing I know is "PEVATEAUX GOT 2 GEAUX"
