I guess they just couldn't do it. The NIT logo. Just not fit for Rupp Arena. Nonetheless, it's absolutely beautiful to see the NIT logo on a Kentucky basketball court. Even if it is Memorial Coliseum!

Jodie Meeks scored 19 points, Patrick Patterson added 16 and the fourth-seeded Cats held off a furious rally by the No. 5 Runnin' Rebels (21-11) in the first UK men's game at 59-year-old, on-campus Memorial Coliseum since 1976. The game was there because of the Boys' Sweet 16 being held at Rupp Arena.

The games start today. They needed an excuse. Could not tarnish the court in Rupp with the NIT logo.
