Cool - I may check back with you in a few weeks to see how it's working for you. Thx

he means the kindle fire, the new kindle tablet computer. the kindle reader isa different thing.

edit: it is evident that you knew this. my fault.

i have a reader and also a tablet. i dont read books on the tablet, and i would not read books on a ipad. e-ink is for reading, lit screens are for movies and computing.

why wouldnt you just get rid of the reader and use the tablet to read despite the e-ink issue. you wont be using both at once often if at all.

because reading on a tablet is an awful experience and reading on e-ink is a terrific joy.

you dont think it is way more pleasing to the eyes to read on e-ink or a book than a backlit computer screen?

if im comparing them. but if just using a tablet I forget pretty quickly.

I guess if I got used to it and used a kindle more I'd probably want one. they are pretty easy on the eyes. and cheap.

but this goes against all minimalist principles.

I have a blackberry and paperbacks. Old people can't keep up.
