So assuming Lafell is 100% gone, who wears #1 in 2009? Shep?

A lot of rumors swirling about Dixon possibly leaving the team. I am sure Shep will get #10 if he wants it.

Maybe Benton or Randle gets #1.

I just read an article about LaBrandon Toefield that said he was eligible for retirement after 7 years.

You clearly do not understand NFL contracts. That's his cap hit, counting his bonus money from his contract. Last year he wasn't even in the top 25.

I think it is three years but the plan obviously varies based on how many years you played.

Yeah, he's eligible for I think $20k a month. IIRC, someone who retires at 10 years gets double that.

I really think LaFell would be better served by another year at LSU. But I wish him well if he hires an agent and enters the draft. He has what it takes to do well on Sundays and I think this last year would've been much, much bigger for him had we had the QB situation settled out earlier.

I think the bump would be only marginal if he stayed another year.

Projected late first to early 2nd. He may have moved up from mid 1st to late first next year.

    Marginal bump.
