1. 6'1" 212 lb OLB, #1 rated OLB in the nation visited LSU with his parents and his parents were very impressed with the Cox facilities.

Looks like this kid will end up in the northeast (probably Penn State), but he has indicated he will more than likely make a return visit during the season.

4.0 GPA at a Catholic School. Great character. Just what Les likes.

Unreal we can get the attention of someone so far away who probably already has a really good inkling as to where he would like to go.

    LSU.....raking 'em in!
  2. Re: Jelani Jenkins

Big time player, looks like he'll be a good one. Most likely won't come here but just having a bigtime recruit from a completely different region interested in us says a lot.
  3. Re: Jelani Jenkins

Heavy lean to Florida at this point it appears.

LSU may get one of his officials in January. Penn State is scheduled on the 16th.
  4. Re: Jelani Jenkins

    Issy,
I don't know how much he really is leaning towards UF, But in a Rivals.com interview, he said it was good...not great or awesome...He spoke about meeting the coaches, But wasn't excited about the visit.
  5. Re: Jelani Jenkins

Florida insiders feel really good about him.

I hope he stays up north.
  6. Re: Jelani Jenkins

I like the sound of that.

    Issy.

  7. Re: Jelani Jenkins

    Any chance LSU lands him?
  8. Re: Jelani Jenkins

    I got him pegged at 5 %.
  9. Re: Jelani Jenkins

    Thats ok.

LSU has a bright future at LB with Shepard, Riley, Cutrera and the physical freak Mingo (who will in all probability commit to LSU).

It is awesome that LSU is getting his attention even if he will not end up at LSU. Hope for future recruits up north in the comming years...

Watch for LSU to attract some big time LBs starting on February 5th. :thumb:
