A good argument can be made that every player who has played the game falls into that category.

Okay, but back to the topic: what do you think of his mommy trying to take up for him?

I found it obnoxious. He's a big boy, Mom; I know he's your meal ticket, but please, sit your azz down.

Yes. Quite sad. I would not apologize to my mom had I been in that spot. It was embarassing, sad, obnoxious...everything.

An argument can be made that the media wants a select group to get there, or wants people to believe he can get there, which was my point.

And your point? Not every player gets hyped as the next Jordan while he's still a junior in high school either. Its not Lebron's fault that ESPN started the practice of airing regular season high school basketball games because they couldn't wait to shove LJ down our throats. LJ is what he is....a very good ball player, a phenomenal athlete who is clearly a product of the SportsCenter generation (who needs a jump shot? dunks get you air time). He is one of the best players in the league today, definitely top 10, arguably top 3. He is definitely not one of the greatest of all time, which the hype machine assured us he would be before David Stern even called his name on draft night. Understand, I'm knocking the hype machine (aka ESPN) here, not Lebron.
