I get the sense that the win over Florida - not just the victory itself, but the way we won, with Miles seemingly outsmarting Meyer on some big decisions and Miles' ballsiness in going for it and converting 5/5 on 4th downs -has caused a lot of folks who have been skeptical about him despite the past two years of excellent results to ... lose their skepticism.

Me? I have a confession to make: I still think that he's probably our Larry Coker.

I'm a pretty skeptical fan - after the Miami win I started thinking Miles might be a good coach. Since we started out on fire this season, I'm really beginning to suspect that he might be a good coach. I'll let you know my final conclusion at the end of the season.

I think I'm more impressed with what he's done that with what Coker did - Coker started really hot and flamed out. Miles started pretty hot and has warmed gradually. There are many indications that Miles is a good coach. I didn't feel great about all the gutsy calls he made against Florida, but I'm really beginning to think he could be the real deal, possibly for a long time depending on how the Michigan situation turns out. Still, I'm interested in seeing how this season plays out.

But I don't think he'll ever be a Coker. At worst, I think he could be a Fulmer or Carr.

Fair question: To see how many others still feel that way. Up til last week, i always felt like there were a lot of us. But i've been feeling very lonely the last few days, so wanted to take the temperature, so to speak.
