My wife and a friend of hers take turns identifying a new cocktail to try. Yours truly shakes it up for them. The last drink had Limoncello as an igredient. I now have a fifth of it minus about four jiggers. Anyone have a favorite way to drink this stuff or other recipes to share? I know I can drink it over ice but that would be boring.

Never and considering the link not too many others have either. The name alone is prolly worth a sip. In the link you can put in an ingredient and find more then what you thought but Limoncello came up with just the one.

i think i have a cake recipe that calls for it.

i looked on the foodtv site thinking about food recipes and ran across this. an easy way to use it up if you just want to get rid of it.

    linoncello spritzers

    30 ice cubes
    6 cups seltzer
    6 cups limoncello
    8 lemon slices

add ices cubes to pitcher. pour the seltzer water in and mix in the limoncello. pour into individual glasses. garnish with a lemon slice.

sounds to me like a "refreshing" version of a lemonade.

edit: go to foodnetwork.com. there is also a lemon cream martini, a side car martini, the pink elephant, a serrano cocktail... i didnt get to pages 3 and 4 so there may be more.

if i drank, some of those looked interesting to me. there was a meloncello made with watermelon that looked like it might be good.

    TheDude I'm calmer than you.

I always just drink it chilled and straight up. You can always make it yourself and they might like it. I have never tried to do it, but a friend of mine has a Russian wife and she makes it all the time. Zhanna's is the best I have ever had and she says it not hard to do. You just adjust it to your taste. Very good for digestion after a heavy meal. If you want a recipe, pm me.
