I was looking at the line match ups in this one. Specifically there OL to our DL and our OL to there DL. Like all big time games as we all know are won in the trenches. As I'm sure thats the case in this one. Our OL on a average is 6'-5" 305 lbs to Oregons DL 6'-4" 270 lbs. A weight difference of 30 to 35 pounds. With our depth Oregon will have issues come late in the 3rd an into the 4th quarter gettting pushed around. But, interesting enough Oregons OL averages 6'-5" 295 to our DL 6'-4" 270 lbs. A weight difference of 25 lbs. LSU is lighter then usual LSU teams because Chevis is going with quickness over size this year as in the same case of Kelly's DL being much lighter then our OL. The team that gets more penetration in the back field wins this one. LSU needs to just run right at Oregon with its 200+ power backs. Oregon will move more laterally with LJ because of his size 185 cannot take the pounding for 4 quarters inside. Interesting match up here to watch is that Oregon is starting a RS freshman at center who will be heads up against Anthony "The Freak" Johnson . :thumb::geaux:

Yeah, I had a LSU neighbor of mine mention this as well. He fully expects (and I won't be surprised either) Johnson to "collapse" the middle of the pocket and cause disruption on the same level as Fairley did in the BCS title game.

I sure hope so. It's early in his career to expect his technique to be up to par, but he is an extremely gifted young man. I hope he is able to come close to the high expectations and hype around him. From all reports he has the attitude and work ethic to make it happen. I'm really looking forward to watching him play.

    weight differential is overrated.

should really look at how lsu can handle the triple option.

I have always found that penetration in the back field is a sure win.

I hope the ducks suffer from lack of penetration. They should be used to it.
