  2. LSU now has two linebackers who are in the top 75 players in the nation (composite rankings). That's a significant haul in and of itself.

In the history of the rankings dating back to 1999, LSU has never gotten 2 LBs in the top 200 players ranked nationally. We now have two in the top 75.

  5. Right, the linebacker guru could never recruit linebackers in quantity.

  6. Nor enough quality
  7. Well, we did some quality linebackers while he was here and he did a fantastic job with Kelvin Sheppard and Perry Riley, both are starters on NFL teams currently. Did he recruit Minter, i think he was 2009? Kwon, and Beckwith both good, Barrow was a disappointment to me though, Welter was terrible, Muncie and Tahj Jones were disappointments, as is Feist and Louis. So I would agree overall he didn't get us a bunch of great linebackers, but he did get a few and early he did a far better job than he did late.
  8. True that. I think he did a pretty good job if he had at least 3 years.
  9. Ben Davis announced his top 5 in order. Gawga, Bummer, LSU, ND and AU. LSU needs him bad, but looks like a long shot.
  10. Isn't he an Alabama legacy kid? Would be a hell of a coup if they got him.
