I believe the guy finished his beer then gave him the ball back. Not sure how you play it as it lies from a solo cup though. @TerryP ?
Unless the guy was on the playing course the ball would have been out of bounds. A one stroke penalty and a drop at the nearest spot to where the ball left the course. But golf has so many arcane rules so I really don't know.

AutoZone was initially supposed to be auto shack. That was until radio shack threatened them with a law suit. Later, radio shack had a section of there store labeled something zone. AutoZone then sued them.
