We're sitting in the stands on practice day, and there's a young woman sitting by herself a couple of rows down. After about 10 minutes of sitting and talking amongst ourselves, she turns to us and says, "Scuuuuse me, but ah've got to tell y'all Ah just luuuuuuuuve y'all's acccaaaainnnts."

Although the politician who proposed it claimed it was a Shoshone word meaning "gem of the mountains," the word "Idaho" has no etymology to any known language.
