    Speaking of currency, no single US dollar bill or any other denomination, has a unique serial number.

    I was thinking the same thing. Otherwise, it would be useless to record serial numbers for law enforcement purposes.

    You are correct. I had been shown an uncut sheet of bills and had the serial numbering sequence explained to me. I must have been too drunk or tired to comprehend. Thanks for pointing out my misconception.

    I am not a mathematician but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
    I was just looking at a dollar and there is a letter, followed by 10 numbers and then another letter. That makes it possible to have 6,759,999,999,324 possible combinations. Thats well over 6 trillion, witch is still a huge number even if the T word gets thrown around like it was a nickel when they talk about the national debt. I have no idea how many bills have been printed by the US Mint since the first one but probably not 6 trillion.
