1. Two pieces of trivia related to one of my favorite movies, "Monty Python and the Holy Grail"....many medieval churches and cathedrals had medallions or stained glass windows depicting various virtues and vices. To reflect the vice of cowardice, Notre Dame in Paris has no less than 3 medallions depicting a knight running away from a rabbit.

    The scene in which the French throw animals and food at the knights has a basis in reality. During a medieval siege of a fortified French city, the city's people realized the siege army was about out of supplies. Although about to starve themselves, the people threw the remainder of their food at their attackers, hoping to convince them that they were well-supplied and not in danger. The trick worked, as the siege army withdrew.
