    In 1916 the Chicago Cubs and Cincinnati Reds played a 9 inning game with only one baseball

    In 1963 Tiny Lund won the Daytona 500 using only one set of tires

    In 1950, Johnny Mantz did the same thing in the inaugural Southern 500 (Darlington). It was the first NASCAR race on a paved track, and while the rest of the field had to stop several times for tires (and in those days, a 4-tire stop could last a couple of minutes), Mantz was using truck tires that didn't wear out. He won the race by 9 laps.

    Speaking of which, according to the WSJ, the total amount of time that the ball is in play in an average NFL game is only 11 minutes.

    This is a big reason why hurry-up offenses score a lot of points. They raise that "ball is in play" time for themselves.

    In many countries in Europe, and also in China, the overwhelming majority of milk is sold warm, not refrigerated. Like over 90%. It's tough to even find cold milk at the store. It's all in boxes on normal shelves. I have rented an apartment in Macedonia and I went to buy cereal just now and no cold milk was available. Nobody cares, it's warm boxes of milk for everyone.
