As far as I know...ALL specialty plates in the state of Louisiana are unavailable at this time. Thus, the LSU plate must be put on hold. I want one too!!!
That's my understanding. They threw the baby out with the bathwater when they put a halt on the "Choose Life" plates. Now, even the non-controversial college plates and the fundraising environmental/conservasion plates are out, so are the "educator" plates. I'm curious, does anybody know if the military veteran plates are gone too?
Existing plates are grandfathered in and can be renewed, transferred to other vehicles in the same owners name or replaced if lost or damaged. New plates aren't being issued right now. see: http://www.dps.state.la.us/omv/pressrelease.html
