That is true, mon frere, you have been here all season . . . I can attest to that.

However, you have been outnumbered, because there are 3 or 4 Barners who post on here regularly since they ABSOLUTELY LUCKED OUT last year to beat LSU by one lousy point (which the refs had to give them two chances to get).

The ONLY reason why we have a few Barners on this board is because they won that game last year. The Barners like to "lord it over" others when they win, and that's why they have been here. If the Barn had lost to LSU last year, then 2005 would make THREE STRAIGHT YEARS of LSU victory over the Barn . . . believe me when I say that there would be no regular Barn poster on this board had LSU won three in a row against them.

That said, I really hope that more Bama folks decide to become a part of our community. I don't like fans that like to talk a lot of "smack", and, in my experience, Bama fans traditionally talk very little smack. It is true that every team has some obnoxious fans, so, I'm not saying that every Bama fan is perfect. However, given the fact that LSU and Alabama share a common obnoxious jealous little step-child of a foe like the Barn, my hope is that LSU and Bama fans and football players will ALWAYS treat each other as respectful, worthy foes . . .

LSU and Alabama football players don't need to stomp on each other's mid-field logos and pick fights with kids in the school band to show how tough we are . . . you can't say that same thing about the Barn football players.

I don't know why the Barn started treating LSU badly back in about 1995 or so, but you'd have to say that the Barn must have built up some bad karma, because, despite beating every team last season except LSU, they still couldn't take home the :crystal:

JR's gonna make his return to Bama sweet. It'll be fun to see the first 300-yd game of his career take place in BDS. The offense has been on the brink of exploding for a few games now...generally handcuffed by penalties and turnovers.

It is very presumptuous of you to declare my motivations for posting on this board. Care to do a little research and produce any evidence of when I tried to "lord" over LSU because of any victory? Can you also tell me why I still post on this board after LSU won this year? Methinks you are projecting your own prejudices rather than being objective. Your attitude is more attuned to bigotry than the zealotry that you accuse Auburn fans of exhibiting.

I just don't see that happening.

It's be mentioned a few times. Mistakes and penalties. Consider, LSU leads the SEC in the amount of penalities per game vs Alabama being #2 in opposing teams getting penalties. That tells me there will be a handful of drives where you'll end up shooting yourself in the foot due to a concentration mistake. A third and short ends up turning into a 3 and long falling into the defense advantage category.

I'll come back to this thread/subject after we deal with MSU if I can *control* myself. :) Croom reminds me a lot of Houston Nutt. I know he's had this upcoming ball game "circled" since the spring and it is a game he desperately wants to win. What's interesting, is our guys were talking about Auburn last week during practice....not Utah State, not MSU and not LSU. That's a bad sign in my book. That being said, I heard from several of the seniors stating that attitude wasn't going to last long...but then again, we are playing with a lot of young players right now in some very key positions.

You're right, I've seen you jousting with the Barners. But it has been slim pickens from the Tiders for a few years on this board. I can't say as I blame you, because I am not signed up on any other football board and post nowhere else.

I do go read the other boards, and TigerForum is sorta unique. It's my home team, but that's not enough. There is a certain collection of personalities on this board that I really enjoy. Lot of different points of view. I think its the humor I really enjoy, though some of it is "tough love".

No forum is as good if it is all homers. All of our SEC brothers add a lot to this board.

    Come and visit often.

I hope we win in two weeks, so we can play for the SEC championship!

If you do win, I have no problem pulling for an undefeated top 5 team from the SEC, come Jan. 1, whoever it is (ok, its hard to pull for Tenn.).

    Week 10 USA Today Poll
    1. USC (56) 8-0 1,544
    2. Texas (5) 8-0 1,485
    3. Virginia Tech (1) 8-0 1,431
    4. Alabama 8-0 1,349
    5. Miami 6-1 1,285
    6. LSU 6-1 1,215

By the time LSU comes to town, I expect to have ALL of the national attention focused on BD. A battle of top 5 teams with national ramifications. Oh yeah, lottsa eyes on us that weekend. Anyone predicting a blowout either way is on crack. An SEC heartattack classic in Tuscaloosa.

Yeah probably. I dunno though the way the GameDay crew blows USC, they may go to Cal for that matchup. LOL

They should though because either way Va Tech or Miami gets beat this week. That opens the door for both teams to be inside the top 5. I dont see a bigger match-up that week. It's a big-time game!
