1. Mickey is having a hell of a game around the rim.

  2. LSU's already in the bonus with 10 minutes to go. That's a good place to be when nursing a lead.

  3. No doubt they are not playing smart, and a 27 pt lead allows you to jack up some 3s. Credit to UT, too, at home trying to make a run that is typical of high level basketball. A run at some point was predictable. LSU is not going to maintain 27 pt lead the entire 2nd half, but they will likely win by 20+. They won't blow this.

  4. I believe they're okay now. But I'm sorry, when you go from a 27-point lead down to 15 in the first 6 minutes of the second half on the road, you're in real danger of losing. They've made adjustments, and they're playing much stronger right now. The one thing that I really have a problem with is the way Johnny Jones refuses to call timeouts to try to kill runs before they get out of control. He saw his players taking bad shots. Call timeout, calm them down.
  5. The 3's were falling well in the first half, real well.
  6. Yeah, I agree about CJJs reluctance to call timeouts. Don't get that. Probably needs to recognize those moments better.
  7. Well, like I mentioned, I missed the first half. It was obvious early in the second half that they weren't falling. Worse, you don't need three pointers when you are up 27. Take all of the shot clock if you need to, but find a good shot. Even if Tennessee were to shoot lights out from three in the second half, as long as you don't go on long scoreless droughts, you don't have anything to worry about.

  8. Yeah, I think that is why they were taking so many 3s in the early part of the second half cushioned by the 27pt lead..

  9. Starting to play a little better in the second half.
