1. Yeah, that sucked. LSU is 5-6 in games decided by 5 or less. We just don't look good in the last 2 min. if we are down. If we score 80+ points, we are 18-1. When we hold opponents under 60 or under 36%, we have not lost, 19-0. Oh, well.

  2. Very much so, I knew you'd be around. Did you see the confusion coming out of the damn time outs? WTF was that? Really!!!

  3. Mickey had an awful game, after 2 great games in a row. Wonder if he was ill? Just couldn't get it done down the stretch.

  4. How many teams are in that can't shoot or play D? If we match up with them we have a chance

  5. I really hope M&M come back for another year. Games like this clearly illustrate that neither are ready for the show.

  6. Just like every other game. Our plays out of timeouts are embarrassing. I think we're actually worse out of timeouts.

And don't even get me started on free throws.
  7. Honestly, if you gave me the choice of getting Mickey and Martin back next year, or making the tournament, I'd easily choose the former. Problem is I don't think we'll have that choice. It's more probable that we lose them AND don't make the tourney.

I agree, neither are ready. Unfortunately, that doesn't stop guys from trying.
  8. we'd have to go undefeated to have a shot at the ncaas. not happening. last night sealed the deal.
  9. I agree. This team is kinda talented and can play good ball, at times. But we're way too inconsistent and we're not deep enough... yet. And we have several bad losses on our resume.

This is an NIT team, in my opinion.

  10. this was mainly about effort on the glass. a big joke. mickey especially has disappeared in many games on the def glass. some of it going for blocks but most of it is effort. so many time last night, the shot would go up, he would turn around and then wait for the ball. no getting in position while the ball is in the air.

you can see the coaching from time to time, especially when the 2nd liners are in there. either they learned it before lsu or m&m only remember to do it every once in a while.

and someone please explain to me the strategy behind benching a player with fouls? the only reason that makes sense to me is if it is to settle a player down, which i don't think is usually the reason. i think its because coaches think the last 2:00 is more important than any other 2:00, which is bullshit. cjj likely lost many minutes of having martin on the floor (during the big tamu run btw) by taking him out---you don't know how many minutes a player will be able to play without getting the 5th foul. a point in the first minute of the game counts as much as one in the last minute.
