  2. A what? I have honestly never heard of that word. :lol:
  3. On the off chance that you are not kidding, and in the interest of public service:

    sesquicentennial = 150 year anniversary.

    But you were kidding, weren't you?
  4. Don't think he was kidding, cause I was wondering the same. Was trying to gather from the prefixes how many years that was, but couldn't.... 200 years is so much easier to figure out. :)
  5. No I wasnt kidding. Obviously it was about a celebration covering a certain time period but I've honestly never seen that word used before.
  6. You will, the Civil War Sesquicentennial is coming up and it will be as big as the Civil War Centennial was in the 60's. Lots of battlefield events, books, TV documentaries, re-enactments and films.
  7. I'm not sure if it's the only time I've heard the word before, but I remember Texas' sesquicentennial in the 80's, and I was reminded of it everytime I saw a Texas license plate during that time.
