Put a little perspective on the size of the lines LSU will have this year:

Miles had mentioned that Alexander's weight was up and his body fat was down, for example; he checks in at 6-3 and 310 pounds. Jean-Francois is 6-3 and 289, Favorite is 6-1, 306, Woods is 6-4, 324 and Nevis is 6-1, 294. Redshirt freshman Kentravis Aubrey is no midget at 6-3, 296. The fact that these guys are this big and none of them are out of shape is pretty impressive - just as a comparison, the top six defensive tackles on the Saints' camp roster are Sedrick Ellis at 6-1, 307, Hollis Thomas at 6-0, 335, Kendrick Clancy at 6-1, 305, Brian Young at 6-2, 298, Antwan Lake at 6-4, 308 and Orien Harris at 6-3, 300. Not a lot of difference between the two groups - LSU averages 6-2 1/2 and 303 among its top six DT's and the Saints average 6-2 and 308.

To continue the comparison between the Tigers and the Saints at the line of scrimmage, from left to right LSU has Black at 6-5, 327; Johnson at 6-7, 386; Brett Helms at 6-2, 278; Lyle Hitt at 6-2, 289 and Joe Barksdale at 6-5, 315 across the front, for an average size of 6-4 and 319. The Saints, by comparison, go with Jammal Brown at 6-6, 313; Jahri Evans at 6-4, 318; Johnathan Goodwin at 6-3, 318; Jamar Nesbit at 6-4, 328 and Jon Stinchcomb at 6-5, 315 for an average of 6-4 1/2 and 318. In other words, LSU has NFL-sized linemen on both sides of the football. When you consider that guys like Jean-Francois, Alexander, Johnson and Black are no-doubt high draft picks, probably in April, you come to the conclusion that LSU has NFL-caliber talent, not just size. I'm not sure it's ever been like this.

Two things I noticed there. His body fat % seemed extremely low and he is extremely quick. I will be shocked if he does not go pro this year. What a monster. I wonder how 'ol Chaz from Auburn will enjoy getting ragdolled for the second straight year, but by another player??
