LSU hosting QB transfer

LSU will host Purdue quarterback transfer Danny Etling today and Saturday for an official visit.

Etling just did an official visit Wednesday and Thursday to Arkansas.

Etling played as a freshman and sophomore at Purdue.

He will have to sit out this season due to transfer rules. He would then have two years of eligibility remaining after that at the school of his choice.

As a freshman, Etling started seven games hitting on 149-of-276 passes for 1,690 yards and 10 touchdowns.

The highlight came against Indiana when Etling hit 33-of-49 passes for 485 yards and four touchdowns.

As a sophomore, Etling completed 89-of-162 passes for 800 yards and six touchdowns.

The four-star prospect was ranked as the nation's No. 17 pro-style quarterback and the No. 5 prospect in Indiana in the 2016 class by 247Sports.com Composite Rankings.

Don't worry, he will end up signing some place that actually uses a QB.

33-49 for 485 that's like a Jennings 4 game total.

More like a season total only with a LOT more incompletions.

In the end, just another recruiting visit for him. I'm sure he will do fine wherever he lands.

Jennings would have only completed 23 of the 49 passes.
