After watching every game this year, I have been a little dissapointed in the play of our WRs. Dropped passes, bad routes. I think a fully healthy Buster Davis is key against 'Bama, as he is the only one who will consistantly catch the ball and move the chains. IMO he is one of the most under appreciated players on the team.

No doubt he has been the most consistent receiver on the team and him getting over those nagging injuries are very important for our offense.

Our receivers looked sharp against N Texas. I know it was only N Texas, but routes looked much improved, blocking was good, even tough catches were made & after the pass yards were impressive. I think that after the Auburn game, the receivers realized that they could have lost the game for us & the team has really focused on correcting that.

speaking of receivers why is LSU not on the lists of any of the top receivers in the country? Early and Xavier are sophomores and this would be 2 years in a row with no big time receivers.

I'm more than a little disappointed in a unit that was identified by multiple sources as the best, top to bottom, in the conference...if not the nation.

Keeping Buster's head clear and him healthy will undoubtedly help, but I think everyone involved w/ LSU football will agree that its an area in need of improvement, for the potential to production gap is far, far too wide.

Because they've been playing like chit this year and we had no quarterback last year. All the talent in the world means nothing if the production ain't there.

Don't forget about freshman Brandon LaFell. He's a big guy who just might pan out to be a good one.

LaFell (a recruit last year) was an under-rated, big time recruit that has played excellent in practice this season & is redshirting - he'll have 4 years of eligibility starting next year. Not to mention the fact that we do have some top receivers interested in us this year.

One bright spot is I believe we will finally see a clutch receiver now - Craig Davis. He's finally fully recovered from his injury and is very reliable for making big catches. Look for him to be the go to guy when LSU needs to convert for a first down, etc etc. Watch his blocking as well. You'd be amazed at how well he does for his size.

And Dwayne Bowe catches at least 1 Td every game...

People overlook him because he dropped ONE pass...
