actually i never heard anything about first 10 minutes....just a number i figured seemed right. what was said? last week fumbles were ok since Saban told them to play all out and reckless but at least play the "LSU WAY". and that they did. physical, ass-kicking style we have come to know. And yes, if Greene gets busted in the mouth more than once....look for CW to light it up. I have a really good feeling CW is back. Jimmy is a friend from way back but i'm at work most of the time so I don't hear much of the show but I try to call in during football season. I pay his bills with my picks.
On the 10 minutes....basically the fact UGA would coming out sky high could make or break the game. if they are able to turn that emotion into some big plays early it could be tough on LSU kinda like LSUvAub last yr. However if LSU can score early or just make it through the early emotions not in a hole it could be a big break. Nothing Ott was pushing just a topic that came up everyday that Jimmy agreed with. I went to school with one of the infamous callers Catfish/Doc/Papa Son whatever he goes by now i first got hooked on the show from waiting to hear what the idiot was going to call in and say next. Hope your right on the fumbles.
LSU scores on the first two possessions They can't play catch up ... Greene will throw picks ... plenty of 'em
He's no different from our days in school except that now he has an interest in sports.....don't know where that came from....i have a guess.
No, I don't believe so tirk. There has been very little (if any) bashing since the LSU game, but the respect isn't at the level that it should be, IMO. Any amatuer athlete/leader that has accomplished what JC has achieved, especially in the face of so much adversity, deserves to be respected. Not necessarily placed on a pedestal, but universally respected. One the keys I'll be watching for early in today's game will be the play of Odell Thurman on defense and how the LSU staff will attempt to matchup on him. If Thurman is dominating his matchup early, it will be of great concern to Saban. If you've watched UGA alot, then you realize that many times it's not a case of UGA's D feeding-off-of Pollack. But rather a case of their D feeding off Pollock , who is feeding off of Thurman. Because that's usually when Pollack realizes he's likely to have less double-teams to pace himself for. That's why I believe the key to beating UGA is stopping Thurman, because UGA's defense is only dangerous when it's playing confident and aggressive. The other key I'll be watching will be the LSU defensive front, and Spears in particular. If LSU clamps down on the run early and forces UGA into a one-dimesnsional role...... well, quite frankly, IT'S OVER for the Leghumpers. If Ware isn't able to consistently get 3-4 yards in first down situations, then Webster is going to have a field day with all those "floaters" that David Green likes to loft down the seams. Luck
Don't forget that words has it that Skyler is nearing 100% as is expected to play today, which is huge for us. I wouldn't expect him to be returning too many punts, at least not with Shyrone Carey back. I just hope that, if in fact, Skyler is healthy enough to contribute today without much pain, that we keep him from returning all of the punts. We need him completely healthy!
