Here's the skinny... Some games are historic and you don't froget them win or lose. But the close games that get away or got away are the ones you really remember and eat you up and consume you with... "if we only did this or made that adjustment...". Nothing wrong with that way oif thinking, that is how true competitors are. Most coaches say they get consumed with the loses.

This is the year of the 8's, so everyone have your TIVO's/DVR's rolling as it should be a memorable game!

We still had time to kick the FG with an incomplete pass. The only doomsday scenario would've been an int (which happened to AU in the '95 game in Tiger Stadium.)

I formally move that any mention or discussion of this unfortunate event be forever prohibited from the pages here at TF.com

I think everyone will expect somethin wierd, maybe a sasquatch will roam across the field between possessions.

I agree. It took years of therapy to get over that one. Hell, I finally quit sniffing glue last year from this incident.

I clearly remember rocking back and forth in the fetal position for two full hours after that game. I was depressed for a week.

Okay just watched the 2001 game... They made reference to Tuberville smoking the cigar after the win in Tiger Stadium in 1999.

the 2001 incident started with Auburn players stomping the eye of the tiger before the game... followed by the On side kick to start the game... then Duvall at half messing with the LSU band... basically throwing a (shove/punch) at one of the band members...

    From SEC Media Days....

LSU's Tyson Jackson, considred by some the SEC's top defensive lineman going into the season, was asked Wednesday who was the most physical team he played against last year. He didn't hesitate.

"No question about it," Jackson said. "It was Auburn."
