I was laughing, well inside cause I was too nervous to really laugh, when they were speaking about Harris only giving up two walks "all season". They were quite impressed with that stat. Silly guys, he's only pitched for the past few weeks!
he was a defensive substitute and those dudes are looking down at their lineup papers. they arent looking at the players in between at bats.
If you have a lineup card, one would assume you make changes to it when there is a pitching change. It wasn't like it happened in the same inning. They had two commercial breaks to figure out who came in for Harris and in what batting order. At the very least, you think someone in the production truck would eventually figure it out. At least they knew it was Haydel who caught the foul ball out of play.
I had the laptop in the kitchen with me while cooking dinner so I could listen to the end of the game. I swear, food was flying all over the kitchen during the bottom of the 9th!
