I agree with you. But, timeouts are vital at the end of halves. We had Florida pinned. Even one more timeout would have allowed us to stop the clock. Maybe we get a good punt return, then set up for a field goal. It could be tied right now, and we're getting the ball back to start the second half. Timeouts are extremely important. We don't seem to do a good job managing our timeouts or the clock.
but, if we don't take the timeout, we likely don't score that TD. that is what they are there for. I think that was good use of one.
