Kentucky is favored by 21. Can we keep it close?

It really depends on if White and Stringer play good, but even with them two having a great game, its still gonna be hard stopping Kentucky.:geaux:

I think we could see the opposite of what happened in 1994 with LSU being the team down 31 with only 15 minutes to play.

I'd like to see a close one at least.

Obviously the Tigers have nothing to lose. So a close game is all we can hope for.

I think it'll be an interesting match up of styles. Kentucky relies on its athletes and talent, with a dribble drive system. But, watch out to see if the Tigers' zone can keep the guards in front of them. The zone can frustrate the Wildcats, and I'm not sure if they'll have the patience or shooters in a slow paced game. The key will be rebounding. How well UK can rebound to start their break, and how well LSU can rebound in the zone keeping more athletic kids off the glass. Unlike past years, UK doesn't have that dominant big man, and is relatively "small." Nevertheless, they are a stacked team. We'll need a good game from everyone to win, including the bigs and a big game from Stringer.

If LSU keeps it within 10 it's a win, given the talent differential.

Now that would be nice. Actually, I do recall a game at UK that we did win by 30+. I can't remember when exactly -- maybe sometime in the late '80's?

It will be 30 at the half.

Kentuck is a far superior team that is on fire right now. Add in the fact that they are getting favorable calls and this one is looking bad.

I'm able to watch on ESPN3. Doubtful the score will stay close, but I like the hustle. LSU just doesn't have the raw talent and athletic ability. Derenbecker can hopefully continue learning how to create his own shot.
