gonna be a tall order for the tigers. this UConn team is no juggernaut, but they are undoubtedly deeper, more athletic and much bigger in the frontcourt. they start a Fr, So and 3 Sr.

dyson is a very good 2.

robinson is a anthony randolph type but a Sr. im not sure who is going to handle this guy.

in addition to robinson (6'9" 210) they have a 6'10" 230 Sr and 6'9" 240 Fr that should get a lot of PT. (they also have two 7 footers on the bench).

the tigers are going to have to hit some outside shots.

We need to play a fast paced transition game and try to tire out the big guys early!

unfortunately they have too many of them. all that would do is tire out storm and hurt garrett's back.

They have'nt really looked that impressive in their first two games against colgate and hofstra.

the seem to have problems defending the 3 and rebounding, but i wouldnt be surprised that half of it is motivation/effort.

like i said after the WKU game, i think LSU can run with them for a half. we will need to get REALLY GOOD production from the bench so that late in the game we still have storm, tas' and bo with legs. i think bo will need to be effective from the perimeter, we need to be able to continue rebounding well and we need to limit UConn's second-chance points if we want to pull an upset. i really hope for NO injuries because this is a game that can be a VERY good learning experience for our team.

JayB, that's a lot of "needs" and "wants" !!

It'll happen though because you forgot to mention our biggest advantage of all...coaching !! :thumb:.

Trent Johnson may actually be on par with coach K, Pitino, Calipari, etc.

He may even be better than "Digger Dale" :hihi:.

Seriously....would anyone else besides me Like to see Dale Brown as an assistant on Johnson's staff...The motivational assistant coach who gives the locker room pep talks.

Let's start a Hire Dale Brown movement !!!
