Not holding out a lot of hope for a W, but a really good experience for our young squad.

We are clearly the underdog, but Trent Johnson style basketball is the key to winning this game. Slow it down, defend like hell, and rebound. Bo, Tas, and Storm all need to be on. If Harris can come in and supply some spark from the bench, and Bass can make good decisions with the ball like he has been, and Green can play a little tougher as we have a shot.

With Trent Johnson no game is a gimme for the other guys. We have a serious coach.

Well said. I also have to say that historically, UConn has also had it's fair share of inconsistencies. The keys will be whether our big guys, Warren in particular, can stay with their talented forwards athletically, and whether at the two guard we give up too much ground. I think the trouble is, athletically, this will be the first team with the horses to keep Warren from crashing the boards as hard. I trust Trent and staff to coach the game to favor our tempo. I'll be curious as to whether LSU shows a different defense to control pace--he talked about playing more zone and we'll see if he actually does it. I think it's hard not to predict a loss for the Tigers, but hopefully it'll be close and respectable. If Bo and Tas are both able to find their shots, we have a chance.

With the doom and gloom football situation :miles:, I too will be happy for LSU to play some roundball. On ESPN against two very quality opponents... where LSU is the underdog. A role that suits us.

I'm still torn about going to the game. I'm only about 50 miles north of the city, but getting to MSG by 5 or 7 pm will be tough.
