1. Re: Is "Punt Ugly" Ugly Again? And wazzup with the kickoffs?

Don't get me wrong - fantastic play, and who knew Colt was such a, well, athlete - he looked very comfortable catching and running with the ball.

I don't know, it's just one of the features of this team that will continue to make me get up and grab a beer before the commercial starts, just to avoid watching the possible carnage...

It was kinda funny, I read somewhere or heard that he said of "Acting like you'd been there before"........he didn't know how to act. :hihi: It was his first TD.
  3. Re: Is "Punt Ugly" Ugly Again? And wazzup with the kickoffs?

After scoring Colt ran over to the official and flipped him the ball. Nice! :thumb:

Kinda looked like he had been there before. :eek:ldskule:

Yea, they don't like it now, but will be BIG fans of 'em when RP is in the running very soon.
I would generally agree, except the blocked punts are what most of us have been waiting for with that formation. By definition, it's always going to look closer to a block than a traditional scheme I suppose. I don't know the x's and o's well enough on special teams to say whether it's good or bad.
  5. Re: Is "Punt Ugly" Ugly Again? And wazzup with the kickoffs?

I say lets just never punt again the rest of this season...

Because everytime we punt I cringe.... that formation really scares me and causes me to have to drink more beer...

The ole ball coach figured out a way to block them. Simply wrap about 1 mile worth of tape around one player's arm and hand then send him up the middle and extend the club.
