1. My upset pick is Houston, where the coach they should have hired works......
  2. I originally had 'Bama losing to the Hogs before I put my "final" predictions up, but with Arkansas LOSING QB's instead of gaining them (when their pass offense was horrible), and them having to get a new OC amid all the other B.S. their program is going through, I was going to give Saban a little credit for being able to, if nothing else, be able to let his players simply control the game.
  3. Did they have a QB last year?
Wasnt McFadden the leading rusher AND passer:eek: in the LSU game?
See, the thing with Arkansas is they play with McFadden, Jones, good blocking and that freak of a WR Monk. Thats all they need to win, IMO.:thumb:

EDIT: All they needed a QB for last year, and will need this year is to hand off the ball. And they didnt need that a lot too with that wildcat formation.

  4. Come on now D, we had this discussion (if I remember correctly) via email back during the search. I don't think I'm the one that brought Art to your attn. (considering his a Tx. Tech grad) but I did mention that I thought he was one of the "up and comers." He ranked right up there with Rod at the time, a bit higher now.

Under Shula, I would call this game like you see it. Now, I can't say...but I do feel better about it. Briles is one hell of a coach.

HOWEVER, when given the choice between Saban and Briles, can you honestly say that Briles was a better choice?!?! If so, why?
  5. Yes, I want a break down on video and posted to this site for reference. Nothing less is acceptable. And yes I want a denial from the coach as part of this video break down. Bobby Petrino's brother was coaching QB's at Louisville last season. On ESPN's site, he was quoted as saying he was turning down the OC job at Bama. Saying was happy where he was and was not interested in being on Saban's staff. Now, if you want to get technical or legal on this issue then that is your brain choice. Obviously you like to debate and you're extremely opinionated and love the making posts on this site to draw attention to yourself. So....waiting for your video link buddy!
  6. Vandy will upset the Tide in Nashville!
  7. I think they beat Fla. State.

Georgia had a lackluster year last year and don't know their roster well but certainly wouldn't count out their coach. On the same note, I wouldn't count out Bama's and can surely see Bama (Esp. at home) beating them.

I wouldn't touch the Iron Bowl.....anything definitely possible there. That's as bad as Miami/Florida State and USC/UCLA. So much animosity in those games, adrenaline can't do wonders. ;)

No doubt in my mind LSU will have a better team but that won't be a gimme for us either- they'll bring their "A" game.....It'll be a dogfight.
  8. No way they beat FSU. FSU has better talent at all positions except OL and have a real coach again on offense.
  9. So an ACC team coming off of a 7 & 6 year and an SEC team coming off of a 6 & 7 season, who meet the next year and there's "No way"? There's ALWAYS "A way". Not to mention Bama's coach knows a lil about Fla. State's OC.

But let's be fair, if "Nick can't make THAT big a turn around in one year", how can an OC?

The game is a home game for Florida State, and I wouldn't put money on it even if Bama was a home but I see a good chance for Bama to steal one here, we'll see though. I wan't you to remind me if I'm wrong. :thumb:
  10. I just want someone to address this question...you know, the one ON topic.
