anyone get word why I didnt see one charles scott today? i heard nothing all week from practice and mentally had him running for about 70 yards today. not that it would change 5+1 turnovers on the road in a hostile environment but still wondering for my own good before i put this wonderful day behind me.

area 51 leak anything to the masses or is that great advantage still working for us?

Umm well it seems like no one knows at this point. I spoke with Ott and he was expecting Charles Scott to be a pretty big factor and in the post game he was as confused as anyone to why he never saw the field. It has to be a hush/hush injury or he's in the doghouse.

i dont think hes hurt. i really think its the les sticking with upper classmen come hell or high water as hes previously shown. if im right, im pissed.

playcalling I thought was pretty superb today for the first time all year. did jimbo get the reigns? it surely looked like jimbo calling it today.

unfortunately it looked like tepper took over the defense.

I agree with you Tirk. Early on LSU was moving the ball and they were doing it by throwing different looks at them. Defensivley its a different story. The second the game started I was watching how deep the LSU secondary was off the line. They were playing a what seemed like 5 yards off the line and Florida was burning them underneath. That was the same D we saw against Auburn.

we played aggressive d vs auburn. this was the d we saw vs ASU last year and USL this year. i saw 3-3-5 from the get-go the same I noticed vs USL which means ZONE. I can see maybe using it for different looks but when you leave everything underneath open you have to bring the heat to leak. hes shown he can be rattled bigtime and LSU has the defense to fear. not today.

as far as playcalling, we're marching down the field each possession with ease the first half that we arent turning the phucking ball over. 5 turnovers+ blocked punt is a loss to vandi on the road, much less UF.

They did not get near enough pressure on Chris Leak. That guy should have been plastered 3 or 4 times early to set the tone. On the road, you have to go out and set the defensive tone and LSU didn't do it. I will give credit to the coaches for scheming better offensively in this game, but the defense had plenty to be desired. I also am dissappointed with the lack of enthusiam on the sideline from Miles. He doesnt seem to have any backbone. He's afraid to get up in peoples faces and knock them around a little bit. He's way to nice out there. He seems like he's just sitting there waiting for someone to bail him out

You know I noticed the same thing on the D. I mentioned it other posts but most have been focusing on the offense and JR, which is justified along with the coaching on offense in the 2nd half.

Jimbo called a good game in the first half but come the second half, I don't understand once again why we run the ball when down by 23-7. The game plan and calling didn't change till midway into the 4th. The hurry up should've been activated at the start of the 4th, but actually midway into the 3rd. This is what I fault the coaching staff on. Not changing the game plan when the team is in a hole. The players look for leadership from the coaches when in this situation and are looking for the coaches to come up with something different instead of being stubborn and scared to try anything different.

Watching the UF opening drive, I got nervous. It was not the Bo Defense scheme we've seen all year. It was the Tenn and ASU defense of last year. He played 3 down linemen and the DB's were giving big cushions. It was lilke he was scared to get burned on a misdirection play from the spread. That opened up running lanes, the screens and allowed passing underneath. Chris Leak is a player that doesn't respond well when the pocket collapses, if he gets hurried, and if he gets knocked around. He loses confidence and get questionable out there when he gets pressured. Yet Bo didn't blitz much at all in the 1st half and allowed them to throw underneath. You have one of the best secondary's in the game, trust them, and blitz Leak often and rattle him. I think Bo was a bit scared of the spread and was scared to let the players play the ball in this offense like they usually do.

Yes the offense and kick returners put us in a hole but the D still let them score 23 points. The D was decent but the scheme wasn't a good one and UF could move the ball pretty well. But they also had great field position most of the day.

I was amazed that Scott didn't get any PT. It is just unimaginable that he played very well against Tulane and MSU and not get anything today. He was equal footing as JV and AB in the previous 2 games and outshined both of them. He hits hard, isn't timid about hitting the hole, has more speed around the outside, and moves people after he gets hit. If you are going to force the running game, give it to the guy that has run better than JV and AB in the games he played in.

The players let themselves down today but the coaching staff, especially offense, didn't change things up after going down 23-7 until it was too late in the 4th qtr.

    I didn't realize this?
I have 2 kids at home so its hard for me to pay that much attention to detail
    at times.
It seems if we play too conservative we lose nevermind the turnovers.
I could be wrong but also seems the games we lost under Saban the D
was too conservative such as the last play of the Iowa and Arkansas game?
    Just a thought?
