Did anyone else notice that Marcus Randal's jersy was different than the rest of the team that was on the field? The stripes on his shoulders wrapped all the way under his arm pits and on the rest of the team the shoulder stripes were just on the top half of the jersey. I didn't notice if the other qbs had the same type of jersey. Does anyone know what the reason could be for this? I couldn't think of any reason and I alway thought that the jerseys were supposed to all be the same.
Someone else had commented about this earlier in the year.. Seems the qb's and some kickers have full stripes on the shoulders while everyone else has the half stripes.
far reaching guess here... but could it be a different make? I don't know if it would have any mobility advantage? Since you said some kickers wear them that probably isn't the case. who knows? interesting.
I think I remember Saban or someone talking about that a few years ago after we played a Spurrier coached gator team. Do you remember when the gators used to cut the jerseys at the arm so it wouldnt hinder arm motion? It was a big noticeable cut in the shirt. Saban said something like they would look into a different jersey to accomodate the QB's. Dont know anything about the kickers though.
