Sucks for Ole Miss because was likely going to start either at the start of the season or shortly after.

The NCAA has denied Mississippi quarterback Jeremiah Masoli's request for a waiver that would allow him to play immediately, meaning he won't be eligible until 2011.

The school has announced plans to the appeal the ruling, with a response expected in less than a week.

Masoli transferred from Oregon to Mississippi after being kicked off Oregon's team after two run-ins with police.

Kind of messed up imo since they have let previous players do it...if Mackey learns the offense he should be fun to watch
