For me i like have three qualified QB's. I can remember years where we had none.

Sooner or later having good depth comes in handy no matter what the position.

From what i saw last night our talent is deep and it is heartening to see.

Guys what upsets me the most is if we are able to play this team 1st game then i dont think Tenn loss happens.

With 2 games under our belt before Tenn and if it could have been on Sat. instead of Monday then that game shapes up different.

Dont forget what LSU players had gone through during this time.

It happenned and their is nothing we can do about it now but it most definately did effect our season.

I think Coach Miles has settled down a little too. Lets face it their was alot to deal with other than being a first year coach at a very demanding program. I think he is getting more comfortable with his coaches with each passing day.

I am proud of this team and coaches for handling themselves in a way that has brought credit to the State they represent.

Not just on the football field but in that dare i say it little thing called life outside the field.

Matt Flynn hang in there because we need you. Matt Mauck should be your lead on this because without him in the SEC CG against Tenn a few years back we dont win.

I feel good about our program. Recruiting is going well, Team is starting to click better.

Lets get on a roll and finish this season strong.

I agree that, atleast in this one game, Flynn sets himself faster than JR. JaMarcus is still hesitating a second or so before making the throw.

Yeah but when Jamarcus was in there so was the 1st team conerbacks. Our reciever drop off from bowe and davis to doucet and carter is not that big. So Flynn was throwing to basically our 1st team recievers they were wide open except the first throw in which carter made a great catch on a ball he had to wait on!

the only way to "know" if Matt Flynn is as good as JaMar is for him to play under pressure. Matt had some good tough throws but probably didn't feel alot of heat. Jamarcus has felt some heat and sometimes he's been great and some times not so great.

It's nice to know Matt can flick the rock.

I know some of you have trouble with Trusting Miles and Jimbo, but in this case without seeing Matt play under extreme pass rush, it's hard to tell, so you have to trust the coaches. I know that it's easy to try to second guess them, Matt looked great! AND mobile too! Kudos to Matt for stepping in! and UP! :thumb:

Hopefully good will come from this.
    1. we have a good back up.
    2. Jamarcus might have rested a bit and had a chance to "look" at the team play ( offense ) from a different perspective. ( sideline view )
    3. He gets confidance knowing he is the starter, even with such a capable back up and it makes him polish his game even more.

I can't think of any negatives.

I think we're in very good hands should JR go down with injury. I have no problem with Flynn running the offense.

What I saw with Flynn that we haven't seen much this year is the ability to hit the receiver in stride. I would be interested to know how much after the catch yardage the team has this year. I'm guessing it would be well below the Div I average.

All except for his first TD to Carter. X-man had to out-jump the defender.
