I agree but it shows the tide has turned and changes will be quick. BTW I know someone who has a Medical Marijuana prescription in Calif. She says the pharmacies are jacking up the prices to as much as $400/oz while paying farmers around $100. Many farmers are selling it on the side at $150.
That $100 was about the going rate on the user end back in my days. Shits getting expensive! I bet with Big Tobacco behind the Legalize It Lobby the laws will change pretty quickly. With that type of gouging it will do nothing but fuel the cartels by driving up prices. My friends paid $5 for enough to make 3 fat boys or 5 pins back in the late 80's - 92,93.
I heard that names like Acapulco Gold and Maui Wowie were trademarked by big tobacco in the 70's in anticipation of legalization. But I guess you wouldn't want to call your medical weed "Maui Wowie". Probably some pharmaceutical name like "Reefitor".
They have a strain in Colorado called "Charlotte's Web" that parents are rushing to move there and get. It is supposed to be a miracle drug for childhood seizures. Actually the pot is made into an oil first so you don't have a bunch of kids taking hits from the bong.
Whatever happened to names like Skunk. Home grown. Red hair. Censamillion? Not sure about the spelling but this phone pronounced it right.
