    Its an oil state, what did you think they were going to do. They also, signed a ban on cities or municipalities raising the minimum wage.

    There are a few (albeit not many) arguments against raising the minimum wage. There are none for charging people to produce their own energy.

    I guess my issue is that nothing surprises me anymore about what people will do or say or what laws they will enact. I dont even get excited about it.

    Article is a bit of a stretch. The fee only applies to those who sell back to energy companies. The same fee is charged to energy companies who sell to te public. If you install your own production and don't sell back the fee doesn't apply. Makes sense to me.
