From what i understand, it's legal for a Doctor to prescribe cannabis in Louisiana, it's legal for a patient to consume it, but it's illegal to sell it. If i had a prescription, could i ship it to myself from Colorado? Also, anyone have an idea when the full distribution of Medical Cannabis will be legal in Louisiana? I consider myself mostly a Libertarian/Objectivist who tends to vote Republican, but i'm weighting the right to cannabis (Medical & Recreational) more every year. Pretty soon i'll be a one issue voter.

I have 2 close friends, one under going Chemo and the other with Glaucoma, that would greatly benefit from Medical Cannabis in Louisiana. I personally don't need Medical Pot, but would like to have recreational access. In this day and age, it's absurd to bar people from responsible cannabis use. In 2015, all the yesteryear negative propaganda, misconceptions, and lies are exposed. It has valid medical uses and is no more a gateway drug or generally worse than alcohol. Big Brother needs to butt out of our lives.
Back when I used to smoke pot, it was for one reason and one reason alone... Sleep. I did not know about Restless Leg Syndrome then, I just knew that a few puffs let me relax enough to get to sleep. I know now that most research on the matter shows that marijuana is very beneficial to people with RLS, as opposed to the alternative, which is using powerful drugs originally developed for Parkinson's disease.
