1. you would think the Miami players would know to keep their helmets on after getting knocked the **** out last time they took them off and started a fight.
  2. boy NFL scouts sure are going to take a longer look at the previously promising miami safety brandon meriweather after seeing him right in the middle of the screen stomping on the back of a FIU player, that is embarassing. what were the U cheerleaders doing running the flag around?
  3. Everyone surrounding those two programs should be disciplined. Let's not limit the corrective actions to just a few players on either team. The coaches are personally responsible for not doing a better job of teaching their players. If they were properly led by the coaches entrusted to guide and teach those young men this would not happen. What parent wants to send their child to a program where their son will be put in a situation where he could end up in jail? Absolutely ridiculous that this happened.

I know we haven't heard the end of this affair as there are still tapes to be reviewed and the NCAA has yet to officially step in, as far as I know. My personal opinion is that the officials should have stopped the game, cleared the field of both teams took time to review the tape and completed thorough ejections. This would have given both teams the opportunity to cool down and their coaches to regain control of their players (if that were possible). This would also help ensure that ejections were fair and complete.
  4. UM should can Coker THIS WEEK and yank all of the b@$+@#&$ scholarships. Both teams should be put on probation and stfd for the rest of the season.
  5. Coker suspends 8

CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) — Miami coach Larry Coker said Sunday that at least eight Hurricane players will be suspended for their role in a sideline-clearing brawl against Florida International.
The fight Saturday night came during Miami's 35-0 win against Florida International, which plays across town. It was the first meeting between the teams.
Coker said the five players ejected in the fight — offensive linemen Derrick Morse and Chris Barney, running back Charlie Jones, and cornerbacks Carlos Armour and Bruce Johnson — would be suspended.
Coker also suspended safeties Anthony Reddick and Brandon Meriweather and fullback James Bryant.
The lengths of the suspensions have not been determined.
"I don't have many bad days," Coker said Sunday. "This is a bad day."
  6. I'm reading their message board. The majority of the Miami fans there seem to feel like the players were just defending themselves and that the media bias is what is driving the disgust. Pathetic. I hate Da' U soo much.

  7. I dunno what's funnier.. the fact that they're defending this type of crap or the fact that one of the poster's signatures read.. "Tubberville 2007"...
  8. 41-3...

    Man that was nice....
  9. i like this one...

"Some of you forgot what LSU did after the
game. Did any of their players get suspended for sending our players to the hospital by hitting them with helmets? Talking about kicking AR or BM off team is horse sh!t. What the *** do you want them to do when 3 guys jump the walkon qb? "
  10. Worse, there were several players kicking people who were down on the ground. The conferenced have a lot of film to review and some serious punishments must be meted out. At the very least, there should be no bowl games for these teams. And about 20 assault and battery cases could be made.
