The President of the NCAA recently stated that he would be open to passing Emergency Legislation @ the January meeting to cover a situation like Newton's. Does this mean if you are a parent and grab the money before the By_Law change , no sanctions on the school or player?
You would think if it is such an "emergency," such an injustice, such a loophole of gigantic proportions, they would convene before the NC deed is done. No, I thought not. It's hard to fight a fire when you can't see the smoke.
:geaux: Kinda got mixed feelings on this one. Not much room left in the class now as that puts us at 19. Who else we got room for now? OBJ, M. Johnson, Rasco, and Hill? If Micah would have had no grade issues he would have been listed in the top 10 of prospects in LA. No one thought he would have had a chance to make it to DI before now. Look for Scout and possibly Rivals to bump him way up the rankings.
He's an athlete and playmaker he looked good on both sides of the ball. Wasnt scared to come up and hit at the Safety position like a Troy P. and hit the hole with speed on offense. I wouldnt be surprised to see some instate players that qualify to come in on TOPS scholarships at first. One advantage instate schools have here in LA
