I used to think what you are saying is true. not anymore, now I think people's problems are their own fault and an infusion of our values wont work. any place we think of as backward and stupid and violent, we could go there, enact reforms and run the place like it was stockholm, with infrastructure and freedom and opportunity, and they would just shit on it and blow things up.
I worked with a black lady once that was a home owner that started life in the projects. That’s basically the exact same way she described public housing. The Christian sects would assimilate. We have a Palestinian Christian lady married to a Lebanese Christian in our church. The Archbishop comes next weekend to ordain the oldest son. I would not fear nor hesitate to go into any Orthodox Church in a Christian ruled area.

Conflicting reports on that one. the video of the Hamas rocket failing was over an hour before the strike on the hospital. Seems likely once these rockets fired, a return missile came back.
