I'm sitting here waiting for the game watching Iowa-Iowa State and Mike Gottfried is covering the game and lists his top ten. I do not recall the whole top ten but he has Florida State at #2, Auburn#5, Virginia Tech#7or8. The tigers aren't even in his top 10!! Is this guy need to retire from broadcasting or something. I know Florida State has an easy schedule on out besides Florida but and that maybe what he is ranking them on. Still, there is no freaking way FSU is in the top 10 BEST teams in CF.

Actually it does. In National Recruiting it definitely does.

How one person sees the top 10 really affects national recruiting. Hell I think LSU should be #1. What about the numerous people that vote for the AP, Harris, and Coaches poll. Those are the ones that matter and the ones that i'm sure the recruits lookg at.

On a related topic, I watched a little of the Texas romp over Rice.

Question #1: With all of the possible matchups out there, how does a Longhorn scrimage get televised on ESPN2.

Question #2: Why do they send Ron Franklin to call the game? You've got the voice of college football and you send him to call UT-Rice?? Who did he tick off??

Getting back on Gottfried. I hope he does not have a vote on the AP Poll. He is with the type of people who vote on "sympathy for college coaching legends" and "teams with easy schedules." He really needs to retire.
