  5. but i agree that six needs to be adjusted and feeling good about his surroundings before he is thrown into a game situation. i want every day he has the rest of his life as the new mike to be happy ones!!!

coming from a rescue situation, you really gotta feel for, and have a soft spot for the new guy. i know i do!!!
  6. Welcome to the family Mike VI.... Many victories await your long life.
  7. One of the articles I read today (out of NOLA, via google search) said that until the quarantine was over, the tiger's name is still "Roscoe". On the GCOI site under the adoption-a-cat page, there is a Roscoe listed under "Tigers" that was born in 7/05 at GCOI. This would appear to be Mike VI (this page is a bit buried, so they haven't updated the page to take him off). No pic of that specific tiger. But if he was born at the GCOI facility, he as he was hand raised, and did not have to be rescued from an abusive or neglectful situation.
  8. interesting. i will have to look roscoe up. thanks for the info! :thumb:

hand raised is good for the environment mike's are in.
  9. "LSU continues to receive complaint calls from the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. LSU maintains that the tiger will receive the best care with its elaborate habitat and outstanding veterinary care, Ruffner said."

Maybe LSU should set up a 900 number for the PETA complaint line so that the proceeds can go toward some sort of wildlife fund...

    Later tirk,

  10. note to peta:
